NRNW Virtual Transition Assistance Program (TAP)

Navy Region Northwest is now offering live Virtual Transition Assistance Program (TAP) courses as an alternative to JKO and LMS. These live webinars will be hosted and presented by your NRNW installation Fleet & Family Support Center TAP Staff.

The TAP classes are split up into modules which will be offered by each installation at different times and days to allow for more flexibility in scheduling. We encourage you attend TAP modules offered by your installation FFSC, as those will include information specific to that installation and nearby resources. If you are unable to attend your installation’s webinar, you can attend a webinar hosted by another NRNW installation.

All modules must be completed to receive credit for attending TAP. You do not need to preregister** for most of these webinars, but you must be present for the length of the webinar to receive acknowledgement that you completed each module/class. This new program will be scheduled on a month-to-month basis, so please make sure you are looking at the most current schedule. Please know that you may be required to download the Adobe Connect App from your personal computer.  You should be able to connect via the browser from your NMCI computer!

**PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRACK WEBINARS**

Set up your Initial Counseling/Self-Assessment appointment with your Command Career Counselor before you begin the classes). Make sure you complete the required classes for your particular Tier assignment. If you would like a hard copy of the Participant Guides for these modules, please contact your local FFSC TAP; you can also download them at: https://www.cnic.navy.mil/ffr/family_readiness/fleet_and_family_support_program/work-and-family-life/transition_assistance/transition-gps-for-service-members/resources-for-service-members.html

Once you have completed your checklist, you need to make an appointment with your Command Career Counselor or with Fleet & Family Support Center TAP so they can sign off your completion in DMDC. Keep all proof of attendance until you complete your Capstone appointment.

We look forward to seeing you as we launch this new program. If you have any questions, please contact your Command Career Counselor or your local FFSC Transition Assistance Program.
