Navy Region Northwest Fleet & Family Readiness programs – in accordance with updated guidance from Commander, Navy Installations Command – is now requiring all patrons to wear face coverings when entering installation facilities. Below is the official message from CNIC.

UPDATED MASK GUIDANCE: Beginning July 28, 2021, U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) facilities in areas of substantial or high transmission will require service members, federal employees, onsite contractor employees and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask in indoor settings in installations and other facilities owned, leased or otherwise controlled by DoD.

Service members, Federal employees, onsite contractor employees, and visitors who are not fully vaccinated also need to continue to physically distance consistent with applicable CDC and DoD Force Health Protection guidance.

DoD installations, other facilities, and worksites shall, as soon as possible, post signs and post information on their websites clarifying what masking requirements apply in each installation, other facility, and worksite.

At this time, there are no changes to facility access or capacity, but all patrons must wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Unvaccinated individuals should also maintain proper physical distancing consistent with applicable CDC and DoD Force Health Protection guidance. Thank you for your cooperation with this directive.
